STM32F050 replacement

Hello friends,

I have a board using the ''old'' STM32F050K4U6.

ST has suddently removed the webpage of this micro .. so I can even not check if ST suggests any replacement or what to do ...

So my question is : does anybody knows what should replace the STM32F050K4U6 ?

It seems the STM32F031K4U6 is the same, I can't see any difference in the datasheet. Can anyone confirm ?

And the last (but not least), ST says ''No availability reported, please contact our

'' ...

So what ST does for its customer using a microcontroller that has been produced only 3 years and has been stopped suddently ?

    Mouser says it has 1700 on hand, but the part is EOL

    I don't work for ST, but from an industrial perspective it's probably the packaging, either the third-part providing it has stopped doing it, or there is some thermo/mechanical issue that is not economically worth fixing. Or an ability to test.

    I expect if it's a packaging issue you'll just have to respin the PCB and deal with it.

    This isn't an era where we can expect 10-20 year product life cycles, low running lines, and fab utilization/redeployment/shutdown can EOL things quicker than anyone can react. If capital manufacture and test equipment fails, it may not be replaced/replaceable.

    ST has changed naming of some of the STM32. There is a PCN from ST notifying of the change (dated 12.Mar 2014) - Mouser should've implemented it, but I believe it's not easy to follow all the changes:

    But unfortunately the

    is not available for purchase .. (at least on stock).
