Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the official ST guide for setting up USB Power Delivery (PD) Sink on an STM32 device, as outlined here: Getting started with USB-Power Delivery Sink.
I successfully compiled and flashed the firmware onto my NUCLEO-G071RB board. When I tried connecting my setup (NUCLEO-G071RB + X-NUCLEO-SNK1M1) to an external monitor via USB-C to test the power delivery negotiation, I encountered an issue: `ERROR with Trace_Notif :78`.
The issue can be caught when debugging using STM32CubeMonitor-UCPD.
I've attached the whole trace.
Kind regards,
Vlado

Hi @vladovlado
Would you attach your test case to reproduce the issue on my end?

Hi @FBL
Here is the zip of the whole project + traces with another source device.
The ERROR happens when I plug the cable from laptop/monitor to snk1m1.
Update on the project:
The PD part works, but the source of the ERROR trace is still unknown. The error message is some kind of a timeout but the question remains, why does it trigger?
Also, I would kindly ask you to review https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-embedded-software/vdm-issue-pe-send-notsupported-on-stm32g071rb-snk1m1-sink-mode/td-p/786718
since it's the same hardware.
Kind regards,
Vlado

I am also getting this error using an STM32G0B1 with a TCPP03-M20.
