The STEVAL-SPIN3201 evaluation board is designed to support three-phase FOC (Field-Oriented Control) commutation for BLDC (Brushless DC) motors. It can also be used for six-step commutation, but with some limitations.
Here's a breakdown of the two commutation modes:
Three-phase FOC:
Pros:
More efficient and smoother motor operation
Provides better torque control and speed regulation
Reduces motor noise and heat generation
Cons:
Requires more complex hardware and software implementation

I was trying for 6-step commutation method. but i got errors like FOC duration and software error
i attach snapshot for your reference.
