What should I do when stm32 applications do not see st-link and the message I always receive is: Failed to start GDB server
Failed to start GDB server
Error in initializing ST-LINK device.
Reason: (2) ST-LINK DLL error.

No matter which stm32 board or cable I took result the same.

Perhaps a firewall issue.

Can STM32CubeProgrammer connect? OS? Software version?

STM32CubeProgrammer does not connect. Windows10. Software - latest.

Okay, so not a GDB specific issue.

Can STM32CubeProgrammer see the programmer? Does it show a serial number, firmware version, voltage, etc? Does it show up in the device manager?

What board(s) are you trying? What programmer do you have? Are these custom boards?

It seems it is firewall issue. I have to test it more. Thank you very much.
