VNH5050 diag pins and pwm input

I am designing a quad motor controller using 4 vnh5050. The motors will be controlled independently through INA1 - INA4 & INB1 and INB4 signals from uC.

In order to keep pin count usage down:

1) Can I connect the DIAGA and A DIAGB pins together and just have 1 fault pin going to uC from each vnh5050? (if there is a fault in either I will try to reset both)

2a) Can I run the same PWM signal to all 4 vnh5050's? ( I will generate a constant PWM signal of desired motor speed connected to each vnh5050 and using the INAx and INBx pins for the desired vnh5050, turn the motor on/off.)

2b) Can the PWM remain HIGH for full speed or does it require PWM?

Good Moarning,

Here the feedback to your questions.

1) Can I connect the DIAGA and A DIAGB pins together and just have 1 fault pin going to uC from each vnh5050? (if there is a fault in either I will try to reset both)

YES, take to use same supply line for all devices.

2a) Can I run the same PWM signal to all 4 vnh5050's? ( I will generate a constant PWM signal of desired motor speed connected to each vnh5050 and using the INAx and INBx pins for the desired vnh5050, turn the motor on/off.)

YES, take to use same supply line for all devices.

2b) Can the PWM remain HIGH for full speed or does it require PWM?

Yes.

I'm at your disposal for any further question.

Thanks and Regards,

Leonardo
