I've used the VNH3SP30-E in numerous applications, but they've all been for motors that draw less than 10 amps.
I have a 12 VDC motor that if run at 100% PWM, will draw 28 to 30 amps. The data sheet states that this can handle up to 30 amps. I'm wondering if I can indeed get 30 amps continuous current from this motor driver, and if I will need some heat sinking, and how much.
I could epoxy a heat sink like this one on the chip, like this for example.
