Hello,
I am strongly considering using the STEVAL-A6986IV3 based design for a 4 channel isolated gate driver power supply. One thing that looked strange in the the schematic was the four ground capacitors Cgnd1,2,3,4 which are 4.7nF 2000V rated. These connect the ground on each isolated channel to the ground on the input supply voltage. Can someone explain the purpose of these? It seems counter intuitive that we would want to capacitively couple the grounds together on a isolated supply.
Regards,
Jason
