Is it possible to connect multiple SPV1040 in series-parallel or parallel-series?

I have an application with multiple solar cells (1.5A/0.57V @MPP). Since the cells are not going to get uniform lighting, I cannot connect them in series and must recurr to a distributed maximum power point(s) tracking system.

The idea was to employ a single SPV1040 per solar cell. However, since the output of the system is connected to a Li-ion battery charger IC attached to 3 Li-ion cells in series (11.1 V approx.), I wanted to connect the SPV1040 in series to achieve a higher voltage.

Since I want to route all the power to the single battery charger, can I connect multiple lines of 3-series of SPV1040 in parallel? In the application note it is shown how a series (or parallel) connection can be achieved. Can I extend the framework for series-parallel or parallel-series connection to achieve both higher voltages and higher currents?
