Could we use an equivalent capacitor to replace the 12 capacitors needed for the supply pins (VDD1-VDD8 + VBAT etc..) ?

Our PCB space is limited, what is the counter effect by doing that, we are we missing ?

One large capacitor will not have the high frequency performance of the smaller capacitors.
