72141 software used for STMC

Hello Claudio,

the code written for ST72141 was in assembler, very hard to be managed indeed: now, there are different ST tools supporting ST7MC, each one offering firmware libraries in C language, very easy to be used and adapted for creating own application. As ST7MC MCU improves the features of ST72141 while increasing overall performance and keeping unchanged the previous approach for BEMF sensing, from theoretical point of view it is possible to do the porting of the firmware. Neverthless, it should be taken in serious consideration if it would be more convenient to use the new provided libraries and rewrite just the application layer portion of code of your software. By the way, I suggest you to contact your nearest sales office to get more detailed information on this subject ;-).

I need to convert an old projet with 72141 in a new with STMC,

do you think it's possible to easily transport the software to the new one?
