How do the manufacturers calibrate the Dead Reckoning in their vehicles?

Hi, in some GNSS modules I have read that there is a calibration needed with the moving vehicle to enable the DR, but if a manufacturer produces thousands of vehicles do they need to calibrate each one of them? or usually is this the responsibility of the owner of the vehicle?

thanks

As far as I'm aware it is standard practice to drive vehicles off the production line, and around a short test track, to make sure things are working and the wheels don't fall off, transmission grinding, etc. And to park them in the delivery yard. The dealer is also expected to do "vehicle prep" on delivery.

Make the software easy to recalibrate, pretty much every vehicle I've owned with a compass has a procedure in the users manual to reconfigure it.

Have the software recognize it is out-of-calibration, and resolve the issue.
