Hi. I have a problem when trying to establish a serial communication from SPC58 to my PC. My device manager only shows SPC58EC-DISP in the "other devices" section.

1.  SPC58EC-DISP is connected with USB cable to my PC.

2. I have installed the drivers from the link that was provided in the DKReferenceCode: CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Drivers - Silicon Labs

3. Installed "CP210x Windows Drivers"  and "CP210x VPC Windows" and "CP210x Universal Windows Driver"

4. I run the installer, example "CP210xVCPInstaller_x64".

5. When i try to update the drivers to the SPC58EC-DISP in the device manager, windows doesn´t find the drivers.

Kind Regards,

Joona.

Hello Joona ,

SPC58EC-DISP has its own PLS FTDI chipset to debug

The driver in in the starter kit

Download SPC5-UDESTK

After you can debug and flash, you should have PLS FTDI in your device manager

To enable the Com Port , you should enable the VCP

            Best regards
