Question

"Missing dependency for this package. - STM32Cube FW_F4 V1.25.0" while trying to install 1.25.2 when it IS installed

This does not happen with STM32CubeIDE 1.4, but I need to use 1.5 for various reasons. The computer doesn't have and can't have an internet connection.

I've downloaded the file en.stm32cubef4_v1-25-0.zip, AND en.patch_cubef4.zip (this is V1.25.2 according to ST, and the one that doesn't work).

I've also downloaded the file STM32CubeF4-master.zip from the ST repo on Github, but STM32CubeIDE doesn't recognize it as a firmware package.

I've googled this problem for days, but can't seem to find an answer. I've also searched the forums, and can only find similar problems with CubeProgrammerMX, but none are marked as solved.

  1. Download en.stm32cubef4_v1-25-0.zip, AND en.patch_cubef4.zip (from here https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32cubef4.html)
  2. Unpack first en.stm32cubef4_v1-25-0.zip to Repository folder (in my case C:/Users/.../STM32CUBE/Repository)
  3. Then unpack en.patch_cubef4.zip to the SAME folder with file replacement
