Hello, Today i updated to STM32CubeIDE 1.8.0 However when i tried to create a project based on a B-L4S5I-IOT01A Board i get an error saying

[BHend.1]

 "Error downloading files: stm32cube_fw_14_v1170.zip (cannot unzipped) and stm32cube_fw_14_v1171.zip (Dependency no loaded).

I also tried to update my Firmware using the Help updates links:

Check for Embedded package software updates...but i receive the exact same error as i cited above.

Can you please tell me what the problem is and how to fix it ?

Hi @BHend.1​ ,

Can you please delete:

1/ stm32cube_fw_L4_v1170.zip and STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.17.0 [if exist]

2/ All TMP_*** folder in your repository

3/ Do a Refresh

4/ Install again STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.17.1

Thanks for the information. But first of all where do i find my STM32CubeIDE Repository ?

When i start up the application i see my current workspace ......but i am not sure where my repository is on my hard drive ?

I am using a Windows 10 machine.

For my windows machine i have installed the STM32CubeIDE software in this location:

E:\ST\STM32CubeIDE_1.8.0\STM32CubeIDE\

But where would i find the Repository ?

Hi Ayman, Ok thanks for the info. I found my repo. I deleted the files you mentioned. I started up STM32CubeIDE again..... when you say "do a refresh" How do i do that ?

How do i install  STM32Cube_FW_L4_V1.17.1 ?>

Do i achieve the result by : Help -> Check for updates ... and / or help-> Install new Software ?

I want to get it right so that my setup is correct this time.

You can do:

Help > Manage Embedded Software Package > Refresh

Then, you look at STM32L4 and try to install the latest version.
