STM32CubeIDE keeps collapsing the Project Explorer

In STM32CubeIDE 2.1.1, Project Explorer keeps collapsing constantly.

This has been a persistent bug for a very long time and is very annoying.

Can't ST just fix this since it is based on Eclipse?

The recommended solution is to create a new STM32CubeIDE workspace, because this is the safest and most effective way to remove corrupted UI or metadata state without touching the actual project files.

Go to  File → Switch Workspace  ,select a new empty workspace from this menu, restart STM32CubeIDE in that fresh workspace, and then re-import the existing project.

That doesn't work, because the problem always pops up again shortly afterwards.

It is better to fix that bug anyway.
