I am using stm32Cube IDE.

Where should I edit the makefile?

Hi,

Normally you don't need to edit makefiles. Instead open the Project Properties and in C/C++ Build -> Settings the "Tool Settings" tab contains Assembler, Compiler, Linker configurations.
