cube ide code generation issue

hi all, ive recently got my stm32 board and wanted to start programming on it asap. i downloaded the cube ide, created a project, and when i wanted to generate the c code for extra additions nothing was generated. does anyone know what could be the issue? i did verify that the dont generate code is unticked, but all i can see is the project with the ioc file in it. am i missing something?

Hard to know..

Might suggest you go over to YouTube and watch some videos of people building and using CubeIDE, so you can provide some more context or foundation to your question.
