I would like to gather information on the following points. Kindly guide me on these aspects:

  • Identify the CMOS image sensors supported by the STM32MP255F and STM32MP257F.
  • Determine whether the VB66GY and VB16GZ sensors are compatible with the STM32MP255F and STM32MP257F, including the required driver-level integration and software support.

Hi @Sammit Deshpande

Although not part of tested sensors on STM32MP products side, those sensors seems compliant with the CSI-2 port of STM32MP2 device family .

V4L2 drivers for VB66GY/VB16GZ are available here: https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-img503.html, with some docs here: https://www.st.com/resource/en/product_presentation/linux-startguide-stbrightsense.pdf.

As VB66GY/VB16GZ is stated compatible with STM32N6 and knowing that STM32N6 and STM32MP25 share very close CSI-2 internal HW as well same FFC/FPC connectors on Evaluation/discovery boards, I’m confident about compatibility.

Please look to STEVAL-66GYMAI as well as STM32MP257F-EV1 or STM32MP257F-DK boards.

Regards.

I have one more question. Once the device driver setup and hardware-level integration are completed, what would the ISP tuning process involve, if required?
