STM32MP23x / STM32MP25x with DDR4 16x / 32x

Hello,

I would design a PCB a compatible with both STM32MP23x and STM32MP25x series, using VFBGA424 package.

I would support both 16x and 32x DDR4 controller configuration, so I will use fly-by routing to avoid stubs.

STM => DDR4A => DDR4B => termination

The question is:

in the case we use 16x configuration, it is better to have the only memory chip near o far with respect to the STM32?

I mean, the only populated chip shall be DDR4A or DDR4B?
