Are there any discovery/developemnt boards for the STM Cortex A and/OR Cortex R CPUs? Which OS, RTOS and developement environment they support?

Hello,

no Cortex-R in this ST MPU product STM32MP1 has a dual-core Cortex-A7 and a Cortex-M4.

OS for Cortex-A7 supported by ST is Linux or Android. For Cortex-M4 it could be FreeRTOS.

For Cortex R, you can check out the TI website.

The extra complexity and effort makes only sense were functional safety is a requirement.

Performance of Cortex R is roughly the same as Cortex M4/M7 devices.
