IGH EtherCAT High Jitter on STM32MP257 | ST Real-Time Driver Patch Inquiry

I have an EtherCAT project that uses the open-source software EtherCAT master station IGH.

Currently, my platform is the main controller STM32MP257, and the relative jitter of IGH--enable-generic is relatively large.

I would like to inquire if ST has provided corresponding real-time network card driver patches for the EtherCAT master station IGH?

If there are any other better solutions, please let me know.

Thank you~

Hello @bugman,
Unfortunately, ST only provides PREEMPT-RT patches for X-LINUX-RT expansion package, but I know it may not be enough to reach the expected performances with some EtherCAT master stack.

However, I know we have a partner IBV that provides its icECAT Master stack with dedicated Linux kernel optimization. I would advice you to reach them if you want best performances stack. The link of the partner is here: https://www.st.com/en/partner-products-and-services/icecat-ethercat-master-stack.html

Kind regards,
Erwan.
