Posted on May 11, 2018 at 10:33HiI am using B-L072Z-LRWAN STM32 Eval board for configuring sensor. The sensor gives PWM as output. To measure the width I am using GPIOA 5 (PA5) pin as Timer input.I am using the following code for Timer configuration:&sharpdefine TIMx TIM2&sharpdefine TIMx_CLK_ENABLE() __HAL_RCC_TIM2_CLK_ENABLE()/* Definition for TIMx Pins */&sharpdefine TIMx_CHANNEL_GPIO_PORT() __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE()&sharpdefine GPIO_PORT GPIOA&sharpdefine GPIO_PIN_CHANNEL2 GPIO_PIN_5&sharpde
Posted on May 08, 2018 at 10:04Hi, I have some trouble getting the sigfox stack up and running on B-l072Z-LRWAN1 kit together with SDR Dongle from Sigfox, what i have done so far is:1. Executed SignatureGenerator.bin on my device and retrieved the signature2. Requested the PAC/ID from Murata and got the sigfox_data.h back3. Replaced the sigfox_data.h with new data from Murata4. Modified the sigfox stack to operate with public CMAC `SGFX_CMAC_set_key_type( CMAC_KEY_PUBLIC );`5. Connected the dongle directly to LRWAN1 via SMA-SMA with attenuator6. In Snek software configured the device ID and Radio configuration to match the LRWAN1 default config (RC1)7. Tried to disable/enable authentications but no messages are coming in.The console output is as follows:wakeup OKdevId=009_____devPac=1______________Csenddata....F8 00 00 00 00 00 00 donesenddata....EF 00 00 00 00 00 00 donesenddata....F1 00 00 00 00 00 00 donesenddata....EF 00 00 00 00 00 00 donesenddata....EF 00 00 00 00
Posted on April 27, 2018 at 14:57Dear Community,I've bought 2 different evaluation boards to know better LoRa with STM32 MCUs. First, I bought the Nucleo board with the Mbed shied from Semtech ( P-NUCLEO-LRWAN1). I've managed to connect it to my laptop and communicate through Serial port (flash, debug,...). I've install the STLink WinUSB and the UsbUser port drivers, available on this link : http://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/development-tools/software-development-tools/stm32-software-development-tools/stm32-utilities/stsw-link009.htmlAfter this, I bought another evaluation board with the Murata chip on it (B-L072Z-LRWAN1). I can connect it to my laptop, the default software is running (blinking leds,..) and I can see the device in my File Manager under the name : DIS_L072Z.However, when I want to change the software or launch the debug mode in Kei UVision 5, I can't because there is no serial port for my device. In my Devices Manager I have new lines :libusb (Win
Posted on May 04, 2018 at 13:54Hi,if I build the programm 'AT-Slave' (STMCubeExpansion_LRWAN) I got an License Error from Keil ( error: L6050U: The code size of this image (38072 bytes) exceeds the maximum allowed for this version of the linker.). It is possible to reduce the code size from the example without losing the function?#at_slave #keil-mdk5 #b-l072z-lrwan1
Posted on May 01, 2018 at 16:05Hi Everyone,I would like to ask a question regarding to powering the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 direct from the CN11 USB connector. The user manual of the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 states the following:''When the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 board is powered by an external power supply through USB FS connector (CN11), in device mode, do not use a PC as power source if the current consumption is greater than 100 mA, otherwise the PC can be damaged.''As far as i know a PC's USB2.0 port can provide up to 500mA. On the other hand the maximum current consumption of the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 is 300mA. Why the datasheet recommends not to source power direct from the PC? My test plan is to power and control the CMWX1ZZABZ-091 direct from the USB port. Any help would be highly appreciated.Thank you.#cmwx1zzabz-091 #b-l072z-lrwan1 #lora
Posted on April 28, 2018 at 11:46Dear Members, I am new to the forum and feel excited to ask questions and to answer others'. I've been using STM32 for a while and implementing communication protocols on it. Now, I decided to use LWIP stack on STM32 to generate TCP/IP sockets by using PPP over serial(UART) on my GSM module(Telit GL-885) after initialization with AT commands. Does anyone have any advices, outline or examples about this particular issue?Kind RegardsSarp
Posted on April 26, 2018 at 10:57Hi everybody,I work on a B-L072Z-LRWAN1 and particularly on the AT_Slave project from I_CUBE_LRWAN. I know that this project uses LPUART via ST-LINK to send AT commands through a terminal to the Murata LoRa module, the pin related are PA2 and PA3 for Tx and Rx.What I would like to do is to switch from LPUART to USART1 (I need to do that for another project). I tried to change the code in order to replace LL_LPUART by LL_USART then I tested it and tried to send AT on USART1 through a terminal plugged to PA9 and PA10 pins (Tx and Rx for USART1) but it didn't work, the code changed is joined. So my question is, is there a way to do what I try to do ? To switch from LPUART to USART1 to send AT commands ?Thank you#lpuart #stm32l0 #usart #i-cube-lrwan #b-l072z-lrwan1 #at_slave
Posted on April 19, 2018 at 16:31Hello, I would like to know if someone ever experience to put Sigfox stack and LoRa stack (stack from St) at the same time on the murata module ? I would like to re initialize the hardware (HAL_Init( ), SystemClock_Config( ), HW_Init(), HW_EEPROM_Init()... each time I want to swith Sigfox to Lora or vice-versa) in order to put the right seeting for each stack ! But I'm a bit lost about this.. did anyone ever do that?Regards Thomas#lora #sigfox #b-l072z-lrwan1
Posted on March 26, 2018 at 16:28Hi!I'm curently using the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 (STM32L072 and LoRa board) with the STM32CubeExpansion_LRWAN_V1.1.4, and i'm trying to reduce the current consumption using this board.I'm currently running into a high current draw from the power supply (when i'm forcing the board to get into stop mode at the first line possible in the main, i still draw over 3mA from the power supply)I've tried to reduce the leakage from various ways (removed D2, no LED active, removed R19 to remove the link between battery and ST-link)However i'm still unable to guess where does the extra mA are going...At the start of my main, i'm using the insctruction HAL_PWR_EnterSLEEPMode(PWR_MAINREGULATOR_ON, PWR_SLEEPENTRY_WFI) (i've tried with stop and standby aswell, same current draw) and getting about 3.4mA at all time...During normal use, my current usage is about 25mA when transmitting and 13mA when receiving, not dropping below the 13mA (so I guess I'm not really entering sleep
Posted on March 09, 2018 at 09:15Hello,I am using the I-CUBE-LRWAN V1.1.4 with CMWX1ZZABZ-078 and I want to test the continuous TX mode in order to check the EMC tests. Can somebody give some idea on how to do that?#continuous-tx #cmwx1zzabz-078 #i-cube-lrwan
Posted on March 21, 2018 at 10:52Hi,I designed a custom PCB collecting data using a STM32L432KC, and transmitting it through a Nordic nrf52832 over BLE to a smartphone. After this final prototype, I'd like to go to a Industrial architecture and adding the DFU OTA for both uC.About the OTA DFU for the nordic, it is well documented. But about the STM32L432KC, I can't find any hints or topics.Does anyone already did this ?Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !#ota #update #dfu #stm32-l4
Posted on March 13, 2018 at 23:07Hi,I have b-l072Z-LRWAN1 + SigFox SDR dongle. I added Node's ID to SENK (network emulator), then I loaded AT command and push button examples from X-CUBE-SFOX, and nothing worked. When I sent a frame, it seems that software gets pending and nothing works again util I reset the device. Note: I connected JP9 to pin 1 and 2. and PAC is set to Zeros.Does anyone have an idea about the issue? How can I send it correctly?Best regards.#b-l072z-lrwan1 #sigfox

Posted on March 09, 2018 at 11:23Hi,We've been using the I-CUBE-LRWAN package for a while now on our various hardware with different STM32 mcu's without problems. It does the job, and we are very happy with it.We do have some problems keeping track of versions and issues. Mostly because the LoRa middleware comes from the Semtech Lora-net/LoRaMac-node development branch but isn't an exact 1:1 copy of the Semtech Lora-net/LoRaMac-node.If we try to keep up with the Semtech Lora-net/LoRaMac-node repository, by patching issues found there into I-Cube-Lrwan's LoRa\Middleware we still need to do a diff on every new release of i-cube-lrwan to see if all the Semtech Lora-net/LoRaMac-node are still there. With surrounding code changing all the time also, this can get 'complex' very easily. While it would not entirely solve our 'problems', I was wondering: What about a public repository? Is there a roadmap, or release calendar? How about more frequent updates, issues could then be fixed in a s
Posted on December 08, 2017 at 10:11It is mentioned that muRata has a collaboration with you on bringing sigfox to their Type ABZ lora module. However I can only find news about it, not actually something concrete on how and what. Could you please link me to more info.Heres the news article.https://community.st.com/external-link.jspa?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.murata.com%2Fabout%2Fnewsroom%2Fnews%2Fproduct%2Ffrontend%2F2017%2F0718#murata-cmwx1zzabz #sigfox #lora
Posted on February 07, 2018 at 11:27Dear,I am working on end-devices which will not be configurable (no LCD, no buttons..). You can imagine it like simple thermometer which periodically send the new measured data to Gateway. I read many topics about ABP/ OTAA activation, but it is still not clear to me which activation for this my device is possible. My existing knowledge:1) When I use the OTAA - I will have to set in my end-device AppKey, AppEUI and maybe DevEUI which I get from TTN - So it looks like inapplicable for me, is not it? Because In first I will program my device (with HEX file), but the AppKey, App EUI, DevEUI I (user) will know much much later.2) Whe I use the ABP - I will have to set in my end-device Device Adress which I get also from TTN and Network Session Key with App Session Key I can probably know in advance but also I have to guarentee that these 2 keys will be unique - but how?I hope my question is clear.Thank you very much for advice Jan.#otaa-abp #lrwan #l
Posted on January 31, 2018 at 19:15Hi,I have B-L072Z-LRWAN1 board from ST running I-CUBE-LRWAN software for LoRaWAN, and RHF0M301 gateway from RisingHF.I am testing a class C and I have an issue in downlink, here is the scenario: Node transmit an uplink to server, then a delay for 30s to transmit the next packet.During that time I send a packet from server, it is received by gateway ( INFO: [down] a packet will be sent in immediate mode)But it is not sent to node immediately, node receives the packet before the timeout, then process the next uplink immediately. (For example, at 28s it receives the packet, at 30s it process the next uplink)So, what is the reason of this problem? How can I solve it?In my viewpoint, It could be caused by the gateway (no immediate transmit), or configurations in node.Best regards. #lora #lorawan

Posted on January 11, 2018 at 07:54 I have a Murata LoRa SOC from which I have made up a custom board and I am flashing code using UART which wasn't successful until help from https://community.st.com/people/Turvey.Clive.002 Now I am using stm32flash open source software for flashing of code but after successful flashing I still am not even able to blink a LED using the flashed code. While the software did work when flashed to DISCOVERY kit. I reckon this must be because the ICs aren't shipped with bootloader? Is it? But then how did the flashing work? I am so confused. Please help. PS: Boot configurations are perfectly alright. #stm32l0 #b-l072z-lrwan1 Note: this post was migrated and contained many threaded conversations, some content may be missing.
