When running one of my STM32WB55 projects, I can see wrong, constantly varying variable values in the Live Watch window of the IAR IDE, i.e. values that are not actually stored in that watched variable. As soon as I pause the execution of the program, I always see the correct values.I do write the variables only once after start-up of the MCU but to read them repeatedly every approx. 350 us in a timer ISR. The variables are declared static. If I enable a write-operation data breakpoint on the address of one of the variables, no break happens after start-up. If I enable a read-operation data breakpoint on the address, a break happens repeatedly however. Hence, I suppose the program does what I expect it to do.Now, I noticed that if the clock of DMA2 is enabled using __HAL_RCC_DMA2_CLK_ENABLE(), the displayed values don't change anymore after start-up. Instead, the correct values are shown.I'm not sure if this is an STM or IAR issue. Did anyone experience something similar? Does someone ha
Hello, I am trying to upgrade BLE stack to version 1.6.0 and there is strange issue.I can upgrade the stack through SWI/ST-LINK.The problem is with upgrading the stack over the air. I have no problems with older versions. STM32WB configuration: FUS 1.1.0, BLE stack 1.5.0, BLE OTA, BLE_HeartRate_ota.I use android smartphone with ST BLE Sensor App.When I am trying to upgrade the stack I got the information on the phone "download completed". The STM32WB resets and after this it is bricked. Even through SWI/ST-LINK I can not connect to the microcontroller. Anyone tries to do it and deals with the same isssue?Best Regards
Hello.I'm trying to get BLE_MeshLightingLPN project to a buildable state, but it just doesn't work.I'm using TrueStudio 9.3, STM32WB Cube package v1.7.0, AN5292 (How to build a Bluetooth® Low Energy mesh application for STM32WBx5 microcontrollers).Whatever I do, there are always missing includes, missing definitions, conflicting definitions, duplicate definitions (even when file search finds only one; duplicate in the library?), e.t.c.Are there an archive with a ready-to-buid project? Or is anyone successful willing to share how they achieved that or even the project itself? Thanks.
Hi All ST Members Hope you all are doing well! . I have a question , i will highly appreciate for the answer.Currently i am using I cube Lorawan Stack V1.3.1 its compiling and working well with my Nucleo Board+ Sx1262 . But when i copy pasted the working code from another project in which HAL libraries used . In this project i interfaced the DS1307/TLV493D , read the data from it and displayed on UART perfectly .After copy pasting all the code(DS1307/TLV493D) into the I cube Lorawan with all the variables with zero error . Program failed to work . I debugged the issue . Which i found is thatIn working code of (DS1307/TLV493D) internal registers of I2C were updating in debug mode . I have attached the screen shot of it .But after copy pasting program get stuck at this commandif(HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady(&hi2c1 ,0x00 ,1,10)== HAL_OK){ HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA,GPIO_PIN_5); }I debugged the issue , in which i found that internal registers of I2c are not updating at all . I also tried UART
Attached the project source where we are getting error. Thanks in advance. Have a good day.
I'm using low level commands to send SPI data to a flash part. I'm in master mode and am using the following 3 commands(just testing) and see 16 clock pulses for each of these.WRITE_ENABLE_CMD = 0x06 and using the 8bit routine I see 0x06 sent on the upper 8 bits, 0 on the lower but still 16 clock pulses.Using 16 bit command I see 0x06 on the upper 8 bits and 0x06 on the lower 8 bits.Using spi.Instance->DR = 0x06 it's on the lower 8 bits and if I set it to 0x0600 it's on the upper 8 bits. My part, to send a write enable command, has to have 0x06 in 8 clocks (1 byte) and then CS needs to go high or the part will ignore the command.LL_SPI_TransmitData8(spi.Instance,WRITE_ENABLE_CMD);LL_SPI_TransmitData16(spi.Instance,WRITE_ENABLE_CMD);spi.Instance->DR = WRITE_ENABLE_CMD; Is there any way to just send 8 bit bytes one a a time even though the DR register is 16 bits? Thanks
Background: I'd like to add a custom protocol stack on top of 802.15.4 MAC but place it all on CPU2 (M0) and let only the application reside in CPU1 (M4) - just like the pre-compiled binary with Zigbee. Is this possible?
Hi,I am currently using the P2P Server/Client example as a base for one of my projects. The server is constantly sleeping, waking up and reconnecting. After connecting the Services & Characteristics have to be rediscovered and notification re-enabled before data can be sent. This is taking a few seconds and is causing data to be lost. What steps can I take to reduce the time for the connection to reestablished? Thanks,Daniel
Hello,I want to implement a solution based on the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 where several boards will send data to a single concentrator board, which will deliver the information using USB.Peer-to-peer works fine, based on the ping pong example from the board project. But, when I add another board, everything stops working.Based on a internet research, it seems that I have to use LoraWAN protocol on a private network configuration. Is that correct? And, in this case, everywhere on internet indicates a big gateway, running a processor and with internet connectivity, which is not the case of my application. So, I would like to ask you some advice in how should I proceed to implement a solution to capture data from some (between 10 and 20, at most) B-L072Z-LRWAN1 boards using another B-L072Z-LRWAN1.Thank you very much.Best regards,Flavio
Hi,I use the DISCO-L072CZ-LRWAN1 with the current configuration:I2C1 ==> PB8 and PB9I2S ==> PB13, PB12 and PB15.And I want to use the other line I2C I2C2, but the I2C2_SCL is also on the PB13 (used by I2S).I tried to configure it with CubeMx:But, i did not found the PB10 on the Board? There are other pins for I2C2?Best regards.
When generating a new project (cubemx 5.5.0) that includes HID and BLE.I rebuilt the sample apps provided by STM for each of these features and they work OK. However I have no clue as to how to combine the two (most probably because I'm setting the clocks wrong).I'd appreciate any kind of assistance regarding Clock configuration (I'm transitioning from Arduino, so I'm somewhat overwhelmed by the complexity).Thank you!
Hi, I am looking for reference design for STM32WLE5J8/JB/JC LoRa SoC.I found reference for NUCLEO-WL55JC board but was not able to find it on ST micro website.I also want to check if its possible to design 2x wireless circuit (415MHz and 865MHz) using HF and LF pins on the SoC? If yes, can you please share the reference schematics for the same !! Regards,Satyan
I have downloaded TERA-TERM to my laptop but it sees nothing. Furthermore I can see no activity on any signal line (UART,SPI or I2C) to the SPBTLE-1S Bluetooth module. I presume SPBTLE-1S would be driven by the host MCU whether or not there is a receiver unless the protocol demands something like an RTS and a CTS.What is a simple way to check this board without an iPad?
I'm busy with the "Discovery kit for LoRaWAN ™, Sigfox ™, and LPWAN protocols"I have several questions:I can't find any documentation on the Middelwares RTOS used. Is it something known? Can we find documentation? How to add a "HW_RTC_SetAlarm", if I want that there are sendings scheduled every 30min, I suppose that I have to add it in "void SCH_Idle (void)" before "LPM_EnterLowPower ();" but I cannot find any example.thank you in advance for your help.LeJI
I bought a B-L072Z-LRWAN1 with STM32L072C7 as the processor and a NEO 6M GPS module. I found a library on this site https://stm32f4-discovery.net/2014/08/library-27-gps-stm32f4-devices/ Is the TM STM32F4 GPIO Library compatible with my board?
I'm using a custom board with a STM32WB50CG part. When I send this:0x10 0xFC 0x52 0x00 (FUS_GET_STATE) or any command for that matter, I always get this back:0x11 0x0E 0x04 0xFF 0xFE 0x00 0xFE 0x00I've tried this while running the bootloader code as well as my own code.Anyone see the error in my command? I've mostly followed AN5185. But there's errors in that app note. For example Section 6.1 says FUS only uses the device information table and system table, yet the bootloader also fills in the async event table. Only after filling in that table do I see the event announcing CPU2 is up and running FUS.
I have Lora module with STM32L052C8T6 mcu. I like to send short massages every minute or two. I sent data with success alredy, but my device will be battery powered so I need very power efficient approach. I figured out that stop mode will be best suitable for me.I created new project on CubeMX.Selected 2 pins as output for led.In RTC section: Selected: Activated Clock SourceSelected: Activate Calendar.Alarm A: Disable, Alarm B: Disable,Wake Up: Internal Wake UpTo generated code I added in main loop: while (1) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOB, LED1_Pin); HAL_Delay(1000); HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOB, LED1_Pin); uint32_t _time = (((uint32_t) 500) * 2314) / 1000; HAL_RTCEx_SetWakeUpTimer_IT(&hrtc, _time, RTC_WAKEUPCLOCK_RTCCLK_DIV16); __HAL_RCC_PWR_CLK_ENABLE(); // Enable Power Control clock HAL_PWREx_EnableUltraLowPower(); // Ultra low power mode HAL_PWREx_EnableFastWakeUp(); // Fast wake-up for ultra low power mode // Switch to STOPMode
Is there something similar like X-CUBE-BLE2 (which is for BlueNRG-2) for STM32WB with transparent mode firmware? We want to use STM32WB as a network coprocessor and control it with external STM32 MCU via UART. It's pretty clear what needs to be done on STM32WB side, but it's not very clear how to setup whole BLE functionality with external MCU. Thanks for any advice.Petr

HiIm working on custom template from STM32WB Workshop HandsOn_3 with template BLE server. I've tried to add more custom characteristics (notify with variable values) to my service. Ive modified the code to the moment that I see them on the Client BLE app on my phone but ony one characteristic send the desired value (the last one).Iva searched in the provided examples in STM32CubeWB but there is no example with 2 or more characteristics with notify/read property under one service. Is there any instruction how to do that?project in the attachment
Hi,Is there any example/Demo available which represent complete BLE security. i.e Paring using numeric comparison method and also only authorized person can read or write BLE characteristics. How we can implement such kind of security in stm32wb55. Please help me if any document or example code is available.Regards,Arjun
Hey Guys,I have a problem with my STM32WB55CC. For the certification of my product I have to set the advertising channel to a fixed one (37, 38, 39). The command I try to use is the following:volatile uint8_t ret; ret = hci_le_set_advertising_parameters( BLE_TIMER_INTERVAL_MIN_FAST, BLE_TIMER_INTERVAL_MAX_FAST, ADV_NONCONN_IND, PUBLIC_ADDR, 0, 0, ADV_CH_37, 0 );The return value is always "0x01" (Unknown Command). What can I do to get it working???Thanks a lot!
Using DFU. I repeatdly try to flash the dongle, it almost always fails and when it seems to start erasing prior to writing it ends up with :$ ./STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -d /tmp/BLE_p2pServer_reference.hex ------------------------------------------------------------------- STM32CubeProgrammer v2.4.0 -------------------------------------------------------------------USB speed : Full Speed (12MBit/s)Manuf.
