Question

I updated ST-LINK version when prompted using a new NUCLEO-L476RG. Unfortunately my older P-NUCLEO-WB55 boards asked to update STLINK and since then no longer mount on Windows/Mac machines? How can I update P-NUCLEO-WB55 to get them back?

Hello @PKalt.2 and welcome to the STM32 Community :)

Did you update the latest ST-Link firmware using stsw-link007.html?

Did you try with STM32CubeProgrammer?

Could you please try without connecting to the target?

Thanks for your contact. My machine is an Apple Silicone MacBook.

Unfortunately neither the ST-Link firmware nor STM32CuebProgrammer will install or run on my Mac, sadly. Most of my efforts are using a Windows 11 virtual machine.

When attempting to update ST-Link firmware I get the error "No ST-Link detected".

Similarly with STM32CubeProgrammer. The device is never detected...

No success with those tools. Seems to have the same issue as every other part of the toolchain.

Try change the cable port, USB cable. Sometimes it blocks on this cause.

Please try this and let me know if it is OK.
