Hardware/fuse disabling OTA updates for security?

Hi All!

We have a requirement to disable OTA updates either via hardware or by settings a fuse, this is due to the need for a low-maintaince, low-complexity, high-security method to prevent updates to those without physical access to the device.

Is there a fuse or fuses that can be used for this purpose? Or maybe a PIN that can be used for this?

We're looking to disable the OTA (aka FUOTA) for the STM32WLE5CBU6 which is listed as OTA capable in the datasheet.

Thanks all! :D

Hello @billyjoel

There is no way to do that. FUOTA is purely software and does not check hardware settings.

Best Regards.
