Question

aci_gap_clear_security_db() is not preserved across a reboot on the stm32wb55

What is repopulating the security database on the stm32wb55 when it reboots and how do I stop it.   I’m calling aci_gap_clear_security_db() and verifying that the bond list is empty with aci_gap_get_bonded_devices().   When the device reboots, the bond entry that was deleted is back when aci_gap_get_bonded_devices() is called.  What’s going on?

More information:  Nothing I do, including a chip erase, will get rid of the entry over a reboot.  The code is running on a P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo board.   The bonding information is not persistent on any of the other of the same NUCLEO boards I’m using.  It is extremely important for my project to know if there is a bug or anomaly in the stm32wb55 that causes this.  If this is a real issue we will be forced to use a different processor.   The BLE stack I’m using is 1.24.0.3 and the FUS 2.2.0.
