What is the different between Non-OS and OS version of STemWin Library?

Hi,

Out of curiosity, what is the different between non-OS and OS version of STemWin library?

As far as described in emWin's user manual, the library should be working under RTOS environment by default (with appropriate configurations). Question is, why the need of splitting into two separate libraries?
