Slowing frame rate from TouchGFX-STM32L4R9AI discovery board

Hi,

We are trying out some simple applications generated on the TouchGFX and loading them onto the STM32L4R9AI Discovery Board. These simple applications are like a toggle switch to change the background colour or a button to swap between screens.

Once the code is uploaded to the board, it functions well for roughly 30 seconds, and then the touch screen becomes disabled (it cannot recognise any touch gesture).

We further tried to generate some serial output through the USART every 100 milliseconds to check whether it is just the touch interface or other peripherals. Even the USART serial output slows considerably from 100 ms to about 1 second.

I believe the TouchGFX is enabling some power-saving mode that switches on after some time, but I cannot see where that might occur.

We have deployed our codes/touch interface program on STM32F7508, which works perfectly (not meant for low-power mode).

Has anyone had a similar experience with this particular board/chip integrated with the TouchGFX? What might be the first point to debug and check what is going on or what can be disabled for the program to keep running?

Thanks

Sitansu

Hello SSekh.2,

The issue might come from some drivers, we have someone who's investigating this internally.

I've replied to you under your comment on this thread: TouchGFX screen touch problem (st.com).
