Question

Max DCMI pixel clock on H7?

Hi all,

I'm planning to interface a DCMI camera with an STM32H743 running at 400MHz SYSCLK. What is the greatest pixel clock rate I can reliably use? The reference manual says "The maximum DCMI_PIXCLK period must be higher than 2.5 HCLK periods".

Since DCMI is on AHB2 and the max HPRE clock is 200MHz, am I correct that the maximum pixel clock is 80MHz?

Cheers,

Martijn

Hello

I stumbled upon the answer to this question, so I though I'd share it if someone else is looking for it. The answer can be found in AN5020 table 2.

It is different depending on what MCU you have.

Generally it is 54MHz, but STM32F2 it is 48MHz. For STM32L4x6 it is 32MHz, and for STM32H7x3 it is 80MHz
