Is it possible to organize custom container in folders or by levels?

When the number of defined custom container increases the flat menu is dificult to navigate and I find myself looking around to find my container. Can the container be organized in folders?

With the images it is "possible" to have some order with the folder.

 

Is the same achiveable with the containers?

I know this would take a huge redesign and is something that would be nice in the long run. However a simple search fox to fillter would be also welcomed as is simpler to implement
