Question

If i used the STM32H743 at 480 and the AHB bus at 240. will i be able to use the DCMI pixel clock at 96Mhz or its not possible at its fixed to 80Mhz even if the processor runs at 480Mhz

I have asked this question before and got no answer from STM so its better to clear it for us so we know

Hello @Community member ,

According to the STM32H743 datahseet: max clock for DCMI is 80MHz. this data is the result of characterization.

Hope this answer your question.

@Imen DAHMEN

Hi

In the datasheet its mentioned 80Mhz at 400Mhz. so even at 480Mhz the max will still be 80Mhz or 96Mhz?

The reference manual says on page 1187 (DCMI Clocks): "The maximum DCMI_PIXCLK period must be higher than 2.5 HCLK periods."

So, if AHB clock is 240 MHz / 96Mhz = 2.5

Maybe is possible to work, but you are trying to use the DCMI interface in the max clock possible. I don't know if is a good ideia!

Best Regards,
