I just got an STM32 value line discovery board from EBV. On the card that came with the board ''www.st.com/stm32-discovery'' is printed as the location for more info. Unfortunately the link is broken.

I tried to notify the webmaster using the (crappy) contact function on the (crappy) new website and got a reply:

 - These recipients of your message have been processed by the mail server:

[e-mail]; Failed; 5.1.1 (bad destination mailbox address)

    Remote MTA st.com.s200a1.psmtp.com: SMTP diagnostic: 550 No such user - psmtp

One of my friends has a theory that web related jobs only attract iDiots. I think he could be right.

Hi,

I think this malfunctions are due to the fact that ST has changed it's web site aspects few days ago, so some links can be broken due to that.

If you browse new web site, the link is ok, perhaps old web address don't work anymore (update your bookmarks):

By the boat load. I'm not a fan of pretty web-sites, I'll take utility any day. The search function did work well, and the floating feedback button, seemed to take some abuse.

This Microsoft forum implementation is also truly awful. I'd take BBCode over this stupid Word WTH editor

But don't you think that any sensible organisation would ensure that the URLs printed on its marketing and promotional materials continue to work??!

So I'll assume the floaty feedback button in the bottom right does work. As does the search feature ''STM32VL'', so while I think the transition was blundered somewhat, most anyone with a couple of working neurons could have located the new home for the page.

Intel does seem to handle these things much better. I once had a link, not a very deep one, into their site and they used referrer data to contact me weeks in advance to let me know that things were going to change, to what, and when.

Now if Microsoft could figure out how to handle unique forum post/thread id's in less than a few hundred, or thousand characters, that would be great. You'd think a 64-bit or 96-bit number would be more than sufficient given the kind of traffic here.
