Two pin crystal vs 4 pin crystal in stm32f429

I'm designing a pcb for stm32f429 MCU. All the sample boards that I have seen use 4 pin SMD crystals. Is there any reason that I should do the same and not use a normal 8Mhz 2 pin crystal?
