    That would be specific to whatever tool you're using - which you omitted to mention!

    Can someone tell me where I can find the definitions of system variables like $TOOLKIT_DIR$ and $FLASH_FILEPATH$? Where are they defined? Is there a list somewhere?

    Look at EWARM_UserGuide.pdf. It is located in the \doc\ directory of IAR target folder.
