When I connect my board to my computer via usb (cn2) I lose the programming. I lost the factory programming to start with. I downloaded the Keil uVision5 compiler and downloaded the blinky app to the discovery board. It works until I either unplug the usb cable and plug it back in or shut my computer off and reboot. Has anybody else had this problem? If I program my board and unplug the usb cable and plug it into CN3 (USB User) it runs properly.

Has anybody else had this problem?

No, can't say I've heard anyone either. What version of firmware is running on the ST-LINK? Is it current?

    Hi smuts.tom,

I recommend you to upgrade the ST-Link firmware version to V2-1 through this

How do I find the firmware version?

Well there is the debugger configuration pane in Keil, or you could use the ST-LINK Utilities.

I have version 2-1 installed. I need to know whether it's my computer or the Discovery board so I ordered another board. I'll know Monday which it is.

The firmware version is something else, and can be updated to the current release via the ST-LINK Utilities.
