STM32G4 Support in IAR 8.22 – Any Workarounds or Legacy Support

Hello,

I currently have an IAR Embedded Workbench 8.22 dongle license, but this version does not support STM32G4 since the MCU series was introduced later. Upgrading to a newer IAR version is not an option due to budget constraints, but functional safety compliance is required for my project.

I am looking for possible solutions:

Is there any way to manually add STM32G4 support to IAR 8.22 ?
Does ST provide any legacy support package or workaround for using STM32G4 with older IAR versions?
Has anyone successfully compiled STM32G4 projects in IAR 8.22 without upgrading, and if so, what steps were needed?
Any guidance, alternative approaches, or ST-provided solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
