Does the STM32F4DIS-CAM board come with a cable suitable for connecting it to e.g. an STM32F746G-DISCO board? If not, what kind of cable is required for this?

Thanks,

Harry Wagstaff

The STM32F4DIS-CAM board is designed for use (and to be connected to) the STM32F4DIS-BB - which in turn is designed for the F4 discovery board.

For specs and cables, check here:

    https://www.element14.com/community/docs/DOC-67585?ICID=knode-STM32F4-cameramore

You can check yourself if that combo would match+work with the F746-discovery.

I'd be surprised if it did.

I ordered a camera module (STM32F4DIS-CAM) from Farnell/Element14, and it came with the camera module and a 30 pin FFC connector which is suitable for connecting the module to the STM32F746G-DISCO board.

The drivers provided with the STM32F746G-DISCO seem to work fairly well, although they provide somewhat limited configuration options (also it would be useful to be able to use the DMA2D to directly convert the image data directly from the camera into a more suitable format).
