STM32F030 dectected as STM32F09xx

Can anyone help me.

I am trying to bring up the stm32f030 chip. but the STM-link program is detecting it as a stm32f09xx .

    And this presents a problem how exactly? Can it still program them?

    What version of the utilities is being used?

    ST at one point did change some model numbering, and some devices have different die in them depending on manufacturing decisions and market stratification. ie newer or higher functioning die may be down-marked to meet pricing or production goals.

    The device will programm. but does not start.

    most of the time it will error with this message

    09:00:46 : Connection to device is lost: check power supply and debug connection.

    09:00:46 : If the target is in low power mode, please enable ''Debug in Low Power mode'' option from Target->settings menu

    The version of the st link utility is v3.4.0
