SD card file corruption

HI,am using Fatfs file system in stm32f4 and writing some data in to the files which i have created , read and write operations are working fine but at some point of time when i place that sd card in windows PC am unable to copy some files and not even open, am not getting why it is happening. i tried to read through the controller it is working fine. what will be the reason for not opening the files in pc.
Can i detect through Fatfs code that file has been corrupted.
