Sample code and resources for STM32?

Greetings to All,

I am new to STM32, just switched from Atmel AVR. I am wondering where I can find more code samples for the chip. For the AVR, in the manual, there are small code fragments on how to use each peripheral. But there is no such thing in the STM32 manual. So how do you folks learn how to program the chip? Also pointers to any resource (like books, web sites) will be greatly appreicated.

The Firmware Library download includes a whole raft of examples.

Tool vendors usually also supply examples.
