PHYceiver (PHY) for STM32F107

    Most MCUs do not include an Ethernet PHY, and thus need an external one.

    1. What are common chips to use?

    2. Are there compatibility issues?

    3. Are there schematics arround on how to connect to a MCU? Or is this given by pin-names?

    4. The only chips I have come accross so fare are STE100P from ST and RTL8201 from Realtek. Both of them have 48 or 64 pins whereas the interface to the STM32F107 uses 17 pins. This is somehow bewildering. Aren't there any ''simple'' PHY that provide just the interface to an MCU and not more?
