Operating SD Card at 1.8V directly

This post: https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-Makers/Low-Voltage-Signaling-SD-Cards/td-p/490563 seems to imply that newer SD cards can operate directly at 1.8V with no translation to 3.3V. Can anyone confirm if STM32H743 supports this?

If so, does the microSD card still require a 3.3V power rail, or can it directly operate at +1.8V? I have not been able to locate a datasheet for the SanDisk A2 device mentioned in the link above.

Yes, the STM32H743 supports this, as you can read in the reference manual RM0433, section 55. Please check all the 82 pages related to that interface.

No, the MicroSD requires its own voltage, i.e. maybe operates directly at 1.8V. As an example running at 3.3V you could also check the schematics of the evaluation board.
