    Hello,

At the moment I am working on a STM32 design. For the JTAG connection I want to use only the NRST signal (with TDI,TDO,TMS and TCK) and not the nJTRST. Will this work?

    Kind regards,

    Mark

It depends on what do you wish to do.

Resetting core using NRST will not cause HW reset of JTAG tap. Coupling nJTRST pin with NRST may be not optimal solution, too.

On the atoher site, JTAG tap can be reset also using other signals - at least 5 (I think) TCK pulses while TMS is held in H.

Check your JTAG tool - which method does it use for JTAG tap resetting.

Don't know for sure - this may depend on the particular JTAG adapter/module that you have.

If your JTAG is commercial the vendor may be good source for info...
