JTAG and Flash memory resistor calculations

In one of the schematics. there is an 22.1 ohm series resistor between Micro controller and the Flash RAM.

Now if we go for the Stress analysis of that resistors it is going to give 0.5 W, now the question is How we can choose the value of the resistor against frequency of operation.

Kindly help me on this to understand the stress analysis perspective.

Regards,

Deepak

Like which one of thousands are you talking about, provide a cite.

Typically the use of 22 or 33 ohm series resistors is to reduce over/under shoot, and ringing, on short traces driven at high slew rates. I wouldn't anticipate they would need to dissipate 1/2 Watt of power.

Yes.. But it consumes some current..

so we want to understand the How much current it will take and will it have a Co-relations with the Operating Frequency
