Question

Is it possible to clear SRAM2 when booting by the ROM bootloader?

We have a device with corrupted SRAM2 content that is failing in the field. Is clearing the SRAM2 when booting the unit using its ROM bootloader possible? I tried to read SRAM2 content by the serial port when it boots by the ROM bootloader, but it failed; it received a NACK. I can only read internal FLASH memory with success. Any tip or alternative to clear the SRAM2 will be appreciated. As a last resort, disconnecting the battery will solve the problem, but it is not easy to do that in the field, and the battery will keep the unit working for months until a power failure occurs.

You could perhaps download a small app into primary RAM and execute (GO) that to achieve any given functionality you want.

Thanks for the suggestion, that could be a way, I was trying to find a simpler method since there won't be any expert there, even connecting to a laptop at that location would be difficult - remote site, probably on top of the roof. Maybe the easiest way will be to disconnect the battery, but since the enclosure is IP68, it won't be easy for someone not trained to open, and close it after keeping the same IP level
