HSI internal clock with STM32F051K8U6TR

Hi all,

  I wish to use the STM32F051K8U6TR. I need only DAC, spi and UART.
In your opinion is possible to use 8 MHz HSI RC and not use external HSE?

yes, you can do. i made this with 32 x stm32F030, communication with RS485 at 460kbit, had no problems.

F051 is little old and advanced for only DAC UART SPI. You can do this too with lower segment MCUs, but your question need extend, how precise DAC and UART and SPI clock you require. And too HSI with PLL give you better performance... On 8MHz not all your required periph works clean simply.
