I have some similar problem with my new STM32F4 Discovery board. Neither my xp macine nor my windows 7 machine can recognize the board. The led lights are able to blinking. But the device driver is not able to install, the device is showing unknown in the device management.

I wonder if there is any technical support from STMicroelectronics.

Do I need to download some driver to install it manually from your website? Because I don't see any CD comes with the board.

Thanks.

I have tried both, even I also tried to install the driver from IAR.

    But it is still unknown.

I am also having problem download and debug STM32F4 discovery in IAR. I got the attached errors. I guess may be these two problems are related.

The driver works well with my xp machine.

So this is a computer specific problem. It got to be something with my acer window 7 machine.

This computer has some problem to recognize new hardware. Some time ago I needed to delete the lower fillter or upper filter (I forget which one) to install a hardware.
