Does the 66 mm package of STM32N6 support the SDMMC controller?

Hi everyone,

I am checking the STM32N6 series package options and I would like to confirm one point.

Does the 66 mm package of the STM32N6 series expose the pins required to use the SDMMC controller?

I understand that SDMMC support may depend not only on the MCU series, but also on the specific package and pin availability. I have seen SDMMC listed in the device features, but I am not sure whether it is actually usable on the 66 mm package.

Specifically, I would like to know:

  1. Is SDMMC available on the STM32N6 66 mm package?
  2. If yes, does it support a practical SD/eMMC interface, such as 4-bit mode?
  3. Are there any package or pin-mux limitations I should be aware of?

Any confirmation from someone who has checked the datasheet/pinout or used this package would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello  and welcome to the ST community,

The answer to that kind of question could be found in the datasheet:

6×6 mm package means: VFBGA169 package:

So that depends on the pinout configuration:

xxxH3Q: no SDMMC interface

xxxH3QG: has two SDMMC interfaces

Please refer to the reference manual for SDMMC details and the Errata Sheet for the limitations of the product.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the clarification.

Actually, I found that the xxxH3QG package seems to be out of stock at the moment.

Could you please also let me know when this package is expected to become available again, or if there is any estimated restock schedule?

Thanks!

Thank you, understood.

I will check the availability question with the local FAE/sales team.

I can't answer that question. You can ask that question to your local FAE/sales. The community is focused on technical questions not sales oriented questions.
