CAN with a F070?

i saw an example from somebody who said he was interfacing a CAN bus with a STM32F070RB, but that chip doesn't have a CAN interface. Anybody know how this is done?

Perhaps they were using an F072 or there is some overlap in the die being used.

Or they used a Microchip SPI CAN controller.
