Hello,

I use STSW-SPIN3201 to drive a PMSM motor for industrial fan. After I modified the motor parameters by MC Workbench and re-builded the project. The motor can be driven. Now, I have one questions.

The question is when I replace the STSW-SPIN3201's shunt resistors from 10 mOhms to 2 mOhms, and modified the shunts value in the MC Workbench, then re-generate the head file. The motor can't be driven. The fault status on the MC Workbench is ''Speed feedback''. How can I fixed this issue?

Hello,

reducing the shunt resistor, the amplification of  the sensing opamps should be increased accordingly.

The sensing of the current is critical for the control system, in particular for the sensorless algorithm that uses this value to evaluate rotor's speed and position (this will explain the speed feedback error).

You can use the power stage section of the workbench to tune the opamp gain.
